  • Rats Nest

It's only fair to warn you now that this post is rather pointless - seriously. Feel free to laugh.
Can you schedule hair appointments a month out? I'm seriously ready for the hair to be gone. It has reached nearly uncontrollable again. Yes, rats nest is what my brothers so loving called my hair growing up. Looking back, I can't blame them...If you know anything about me, you know I'm pretty hair challenged. Always have been and I'm pretty sure I'm destined to always be this way.I get a hair cut, run with it for awhile, then lose motivation to keep it up...(this referring to 10th grade on...before that, I was just a lost cause.) Don't believe me?
Then came along freshman year of college - I don't know, I think I just wanted a change before heading off to school. I went short and it looked good for awhile (except for my stupid face) but slowly turned into a mop because I was sick of straightening it.
If that wasn't bad enough, I then decided to highlight the mop. Yep. I wanted a deep red (which looking back, I'm glad that didn't happen). The place I went to is the place we go to get our nails done. They don't speak very good English and they definitely didn't do the red I wanted. I remember finally getting a glimpse of what she was doing (of course, she had already started...) and her response in her little Chinese accent was "too late now." Awesome. I didn't hate it. It actually grew on me but
I've been told by numerous people to never do it again. I don't think I would anyway. Also completely random sidenote, I seriously miss that ring.
It then turned into this ridiculously long length...this was not ok, it was always getting in the way. I let it grow out with the highlights in it because I didn't want to dye my hair back to black, I wanted it to be natural...so I let it grow out (I had a couple cuts here and there, getting most of it out). Lisa really wanted to cut it, so I let her go for it. After a 7 hour haircut...haha, ok...not that long but she was very cautious about each cut. :)
    Then it turned into this...
No...jk, that's a wig.  :) It turned into this...not bad when I actually take the time to really straighten it but then I quickly lose care. The first picture is sometime after the haircut when it wasn't layers and layers thick...that's the worst part about my hair if you ask me. Even in the first shot, it's obviously still pretty thick. :(
I'm a little disappointed that it seems to be the thing for girls to go to shorter hair. I've never been one to do something to follow trends and I think it will definitely look that way. Oh well. I don't really care because I'm ready for it to be gone...just holding off until after V's wedding. I'm also semi-afraid it will make me look much younger ....we'll see, we'll see.
haha, why did I just post about that? I don't know...just started looking back at pictures and found it funny. I should go back to the lady at church and give her a more accurate answer about my hair, so she really knows it hasn't been 10 years like she thinks. haha...not sure why she would remember that if she doesn't even remember my name.
